Description: general plumage green; forehead, crown, back of head, lores and nape red; throat and upper breast with brownish tinge; ear-coverts maroon; abdomen variably tinged red; edge of wing yellowish-green; primary-coverts white, primaries violet-blue, tail upperside and underside reddish-brown; periophthalmic ring whitish; iris brownish-red; feet dark grey; bill horn-coloured.

Loudness: Rose Crowned Conures are known for their quieter natures, however, quiet is in comparison to other species of conures. Almost any conure will be louder than a cockatiel for example. However, Rose Crowned conures can make good apartment birds.
Talking Ability: Rose Crowned Conures tend to be quiet for conures so naturally they generally dont talk as much or often as other conures. Rose Crowns can learn to speak a few words.

These birds have been vaccinated for the polyoma virus. It is crucial for young birds to be protected as they have little to no immune system for their first year of life. Just as people, cats, dogs are vaccinated, we use vaccines to substantially decrease the incidence of disease in birds. By doing this we have developed a positive reputation that separates us from the "birdie mills" that do not aspire to the same standards. We have a vet on the premises bi-weekly that administer this vaccine and monitors our babies and flock.
