Common Name: Pearly Conure
Description: The Pearly Conure lower breast, abdomen and thighs green, with bluish tinge on sides of body and faint reddish-brown tinge to abdomen; edging to breast feathers narrower; forehead and upper wing-coverts virtually without blue tinge; lores dark green; cheeks bluish-green to blue; tail underside with reddish-brown tinge.

Loudness: Pearly Conures are known for their quieter natures, however, quiet is in comparison to other species of conures. Almost any conure will be louder than a cockatiel for example. However, Pearly conures can make good apartment birds.
Talking Ability: Pearly Conures tend to be quiet for conures so naturally they generally dont talk as much or often as other conures. Pearly can learn to speak a few words.

These birds have been vaccinated for the polyoma virus. It is crucial for young birds to be protected as they have little to no immune system for their first year of life. Just as people, cats, dogs are vaccinated, we use vaccines to substantially decrease the incidence of disease in birds. By doing this we have developed a positive reputation that separates us from the "birdie mills" that do not aspire to the same standards. We have a vet on the premises bi-weekly that administer this vaccine and monitors our babies and flock.
