Common Name: Peach Fronted Conure
Description: General plumage green; forehead, front of crown and area immediately surrounding eye orange; back of crown and parts of nape dull blue; cheeks, throat and upper breast pale olive-brown; lower breast, abdomen, under tail-coverts and under wing-coverts yellowish-green; tips of primaries and primary-coverts bluish; outer webs of secondaries blue; underside of tail and flight-feathers olive-yellow; periophthalmic ring whitish; iris orange-red; bill blackish; feet grey. Immature as adults, but without orange area around eye; iris dark.

Notes: Peach fronted Conure requires a lot of attention, they are social birds that need interaction with their owners.
These birds have been vaccinated for the polyoma virus. It is crucial for young birds to be protected as they have little to no immune system for their first year of life. Just as people, cats, dogs are vaccinated, we use vaccines to substantially decrease the incidence of disease in birds. By doing this we have developed a positive reputation that separates us from the "birdie mills" that do not aspire to the same standards. We have a vet on the premises bi-weekly that administer this vaccine and monitors our babies and flock.
