DESCRIPTION:
Green; narrow reddish-brown frontal band; forehead, crown and back of head dull brown, each feather edged with whitish-brown; forehead with marked pale-blue tinge; lores and cheeks yellowish-green becoming pale blue on lower cheeks; ear-coverts brownish-white; feathers on side of neck, throat and upper breast brown each feather broadly edged with whitish to dull yellow; variable blue band to nape; lower breast, abdomen, bend of wing and under wing-coverts bright crimson; thighs, under tail-coverts, primary wing-coverts and primaries blue; marked blue tinge to upper wing-coverts; tail upperside dark brownish-red with green base; tail underside grey; skin to perophthalmic ring white; iris dark brown; feet grey; bill dark grey. |
